Ƶ will recognize more than 130 graduates during the 190th Commencement Ceremony Saturday, December 13.
The ceremony begins at 10 a.m. at the Donald E. Young Sports and Fitness Center on the Ƶ campus. The public is invited to attend and celebrate the students’ achievements. Degrees to be awarded include four master’s degrees, 112 bachelor’s degrees, and 18 associate degrees.
Ƶ President Steve Elliott, Jeff Partridge, vice president of the South Dakota Board of Regents, and Bailey Froelich, president of the Ƶ Student Senate, will offer greetings to the graduates. President Elliott will present the graduates with the assistance of April Meeker, registrar at Ƶ.
Ƶ Alumni Association President Megan Reder-Schopp will welcome graduates into the community of more than 19,000 university alumni. The Ƶ Wind Ensemble will perform the processional, a musical selection of “The Little Beast” by Peter Scianio, and the recessional during the ceremony. The national anthem will be sung by Samuel Orr, a music education graduate.
The Fall 2025 Commencement Ceremony will be broadcast live at Ƶ.edu/Commencement for those who are unable to attend. Also on this webpage, all are invited to submit words of congratulations to the Fall 2025 graduates. Ƶ encourages attendees to share their commencement story on social media with the hashtag #Ƶ2025 in social media posts.
